Hello bees. I’m going to be 30 this year. So for most of this year my periods have been crazy irregular. They have started anywhere from the first week to the third week of the month. Is this normal period behavior for a woman that is approaching 30? My periods have always been super regular but, I still haven’t gotten my period this month. I was supposed to start on the 14th. Should I take a pregnancy test or wait it out? Should I go to the gyno and see what’s going on? I’m not trying to get pregnant….just curious if this is normal as woman get older.

sexymama118: Your cycle does change as you get older. But really any change in your cycle should be checked on by your doctor if if it’s been going on for a year. It could be nothing, and probably is just your body changing, but in the event it’s something that can be addressed and fixed, it’s better to be safe than sorry ya know? 🙂

sexymama118: The answer to “should I take a pregnancy test?” is always yes.

I’m 29. Until January of this year, my cycles were always 28-32 days. Jan, Feb, March were 25,26,25. I’m getting married next month and it’s really screwed up my plans, but oh well. Maybe I’ll get lucky and this cycle will be unusually long… Fingers crossed! I will be going to the gyn soon but everything is still in normal range, so I’m not worried. I hear your cycles can fluctuate around this age.

sexymama118: You should see a doctor and tell them about the change in your cycle. This could be a symptom of a much larger problem. They will give you a pregnancy test to rule that out first.
