I’m making my own pocketfolds from Stardream cardstock, and they’re turning out great – except I can’t get the pocket flap to stick permanently to the pocket. I’m using the "scrapbook adhesives" permanent tape runner, but it just comes undone. Does anyone have an alternative?
Stardream is particularly smooth (and slippery), so I wasn’t sure if a previous recommendation for Tombo and Adtec on the board was specifically for Stardream.
Along the same lines – I’m trying to glue ribbon to the pocketfold as well – what would be the best way to do that?

We used a 3M spray adhesive to stick Stardream cardstock to heavy white cardstock, and it held really well! It may not work for you if it needs to be super exact, though…and I wouldn’t use it on ribbon.

I used stardream text and cardstock for EVERYTHING! 3M permanent double stick tape worked like a charm. table numbers, placecards, menus, etc… everything!

Thanks both. I am a little afraid of spray adhesive 🙂 So I will try the 3M first!

I also used 3M Adhesive on my invitations. Do it outside and I would recommend a team of two. Someone spraying (because they will get glue on their hands) and someone with clean hands to press the pieces together and smooth.

PVA from papersource. It is the only stuff that sticks to the slick paper and holds it permanently- I tried EVERYTHING! I made my pocketfolds, too.
It isn’t a spray, but you will need a paintbrush to put it on b/c it is in a giant tub. It is a bookbinding adhesive used by scrapbookers.
Anyhow, it worked great and was a good price… and you can order it online.

One word about using double-stick adhesive. Once get you all of your pocketfolds into place, stack it up under a couple of heavy books to create that permanent seal. You wouldn’t want your pocketfolds to come apart in transit!

If the 3M doesn’t work for you, I use Zots (and Zot strips) for everything. They seriously stick!

Hi I know this is a late post, but for anyone that may see this after the fact…
I also made my own pocketfolds and I actually used little mini brads to hold the pocket in place. I placed one half-way down on either side and it held tight (of course) and looked really unique! Also, I used ribbon and ended up using a dab of hot glue under the bow.
