That is so exciting!! Congratulations date twin! 🙂 Living with your Fiance for the first time is exciting!!! I understand feeling a little sad – but this definitely means that that wedding is SO close!!! I hope the move goes well!

May I ask how old you are?  I think it’s quite endearing that you’re experiencing these feelings.

When I left for good, my little sister immediately transferred her stuff to my old room.  (Apparently I had the better room.)  Then when I went back to visit my parents, I don’t have my own place within that house anymore… it was sort of bittersweet.  I think it was a whole year before I stopped calling my parents’ place “home.”

@roxy821: Oh you will LOVE it then!! We lived together for 1 year then moved back to my hometown and lived with my mom and younger brother for 3 months. it was horrible. Once we were back in our own place it felt great!! Good luck with the move this weekend!

@roxy821:  Awww, maybe you can save your parents’ address as “old home” in your GPS!  As sad as it is that you’re moving out of your parents’ place, it must be equally exciting that you’re moving in with your soon-to-be husband!

I was in the same boat as you and it is bittersweet.  it was odd at the end of the night not to go home and leave with my family but to leave with my husband.  during our wedding planning process i wasn’t home much to begin with as we were busy everynight for a good six months.  to my parents it wasn’t really hard for them as i wasn’t home much but to me it was very bittersweet.  that is the room i grew up in and the people i came home to everyday.

now i live with my hubby which is great and we still go home for family dinners once a week at my parents.
