@BrooklynBride – did you get your dress from the SYTTD store?  The room looks familiar 🙂

@ (everyone else) – you look gorgeous in your dresses!  Way better than the models!!

I LOVE THIS THREAD!  Everyone looks so much better than the models! A lot of these dresses, I wouldn’t have looked twice at in a magazine but they look stunning on the bride!  The bridal industry would serve themselves well to use real brides!  Below is my dress – with the model and with me!

By the way, my dress, crinolin slip, veil and head piece are for sale – just haven’t gotten around to posting ithem yet!

@fallflowers – I agree. I think bridal gowns are meant to flatter all sorts, and seem to do well with curves. I really wish the industry would show more petite models, average size models, plus sized models, etc. It’s really hard to know what’s flattering when the dresses are only really shown on one body type. And a Photoshopped one at that!

Everyone looks really awesome by the way =]

And i think all the models are standing on blocks anyways, so the skirt fluffs out big time. Even if those Maggie models are 6 feet tall, she’d have to have like, a 45″ inseam. I’m 5’11” and no way are we proportioned with THAT much length, lol.

There are some dramatic dresses up in the hive! I’m not a dramatic person, so I LOVE seeing other people rock it out. I don’t pull off drama nicely but wish I could!

you all are AMAZING… I’m so jealous. I’ll play too though. (this is not THE dress… but I thought it was a month ago. Oh, and ignore the bra, shops just don’t carry strapless for me…)
