Wow that’s a great price! Mine were $1000 for bridal party florals for bride, 6 bridesmaids, and 10 bouts.

Thanks everyone for all your deets! Looks like I am in the middle of the pack. I called another florist and she quoted me a similar price, just with slightly lower service/delivery fees and taxes since the florist was in the suburbs (where my wedding will be).
That seems normal. I paid about $550 for a bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouqets and 4 bouts. I think my bouquet was less but the bridesmaids bouqets were more, so actually yours works out better.
glutton : Sounds fair to me. You gotta consider too that Chicago is one of the most expensive US areas for weddings. I just checked theknot.com and it’s number 4 after NYC, Long Is., and central/north NJ. I’m actually surprised Chicago surpasses southern CA area.
Gosh flowers in the USA are expensive. I’m paying $650 USA for the following –
4x bridesmaid bouquets
Bride bouquet
10x button hole
I’m doing my own centrepiece flowers with flowers from wholesalers. They wanted to charge me $80 a table.
socalgirl1689 : Weird! Yeah Chicago/IL is losing population, so it’s affordable in other aspects of life, but the wedding market is really strong in Chicagoland (especially for Indian weddings, like mine). I’m surprised that California (SoCal + Bay area) isn’t ranked that high.
Normal for a “real” florist from the quotes I got. I went to Whole Foods instead and got the same thing I was asking for for less than half. They just charge for the floral cost with no upcharge for arragement.
pinkshoes : Hmm, how complicated was your arrangement? The bouquet I want would be composed of dusty miller leaves, white and pink astilbe, an assortment of spray roses, plum ranauculas (sp?), and a dahlia.
Paid $700 for bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 5 groomsmen/groom boutineers and about 16 extra boutineers and corsages for important people in our families.
I DIY’d my flowers through Flower Moxie. Was quoted about $4000+ (truthfully I gave up after the first consult) for the flowers I ended up DIYing myself.
DIY cost was $1,500 for:
1 Bridal Bouquet
7 Bridesmai’s Bouquets
15 Boutineers
3 Pin on Corsages
3 Addition Centerpieces (I repurposed to bridesmaids)
80 bud vases (not wimpy ones I had full, huge flowers in each of these)
15 ft garland, seeded euc and agonis
The best thing I ever did, achieved my pinterest vision, and got EXACTLY what I wanted without compromising.
I only have a few pics, waiting on more profesh pics!
WNY area. Worth noting I am getting the majority of the centerpieces stuff on my own -candles, cake plate thing- and the florist is just going to add a little greenery. The “swag” is just a little flower thing for the gazebo where we are having our ceremony. and I did not choose buttonieres nor corsages for the parents; I think I might get pins (like metal stamped, classy ones – probably custom from etsy).
Bouquet (bride) $184.00
Bouquet (bridesmaids)(each x3) $33.00
Groom $11.00
Boutineer (each x3) $8.00
Swag $86.00
Centerpieces(12) $168.00
Delivery $54.00
Tax $54.78
Total cost $680.78
Considering that it’s Chicago, this is actually cheap! Usually bridesmaid bouquets start at $85+ for that area. It’s all super reasonable for the suburbs, so I’m surprised it’s not more if it’s actually from a florist in the city.
1 toss bouquet
6 bridesmaid bouquet
12 boutonnieres
1 boutonniere for ring bearer
12 centerpieces
2 altar arrangements
My total for this is 1750 and I’m in Miami.
Thanks everyone! Yikes I totally forgot about the toss bouquet. Would it be terrible if I asked one of my bridesmaids to use hers as the toss bouquet? LOL.
