I’m writing my Fiance a note – we decided because of finances, we’re not going to give each other the traditional “gift”.

You could do a scrapbook of your relationship up to that point.

Write him a love letter to be read the morning of the wedding.

For Vday once, I made a box of 365 reasons I loved him and he opened one envelope a day – I made the outside of the box really cute (pictures of us, etc) and put each “card/reason” inside change envelopes and wrote the date to be opened on each envelope’s outside. He still talks about that gift.

Is your guy handy…what about engraving a leatherman for him (its a pocket multi-tool) – my guy doesn’t leave home without his.

What about a nice watch? I recently got the mister a watch that also tells the tide, moon phases and depth of water since he works on boats and we both are scuba divers. Not sure if you’re near the ocean or if that gift makes sense for everyong. 😉

I’m planning to do a boudoir shoot and make an album for him of those pics. Maybe I’ll also engrave a nice set of cufflinks with his initials so he always them (he can also use them for our wedding day). We’re already planning to write love letters to one another for the ceremony (for the wine/love box (time capsule) part of it).

Hope that helps somewhat!

My plan right now is cufflinks and a love letter.  The love letter will probably evolve into a mini scrapbook though, lol.  And it’ll be that along with what I’m getting all the groomsmen which is a one-shot bottle of really nice scotch to start their getting-ready festivities and purple argyle socks to wear the day off.

We wrote each other letters and I got him some cologne and a pair of handmade cufflinks with real 4 leaf clovers in them

I’m buying my Fiance tickets for a red sox game.  it will be our first game as husband and wife…

because of our finances we’re keeping the gifts around $100-150.

Does your Fiance have a sports team he loves?  Or activity he loves to do?

A groom cake or something upgraded for the honeymoon that he doesn’t know about.

we also decided not to get each other your typical “gift” we are going in together on a nice camera. Mine just broke and we want one for the honeymoon and for bouncing babies in the future. 🙂

My Future Sister-In-Law just got married in august, She had a picture taken of her during a fitting for her dress then had it painted on canvas. It was BEAUTIFUL and so romantic. i bet it looks really good hanging in their house. Her husband absolutely loved it and so did everyone else, they had it on an easle as you walked into the reception

You could send a picture of you guys at a special moment, like when he proposed, to etsy and have someone paint it.
