    I think using Mrs. HisLastName is super weird if you will literally never be called that? Definitely just do Mrs. YourLastName. The Mrs. is still an exciting change!

    danakxox :  my husband took my last name and we are still Mr. and Mrs. Those terms are based on being husband and wife, not a woman taking a man’s last name. You are a Mrs. if you are a married woman. Go for it!

    One of my brides wore a “Mrs. Smith” shirt to get ready in….and I did a double take because that was her actual last name and at first I thought she made a mistake. Then we all got a good laugh because it was meant to be funny – she was keeping her last name.

    It’s true Mrs connotes a married woman, but Mr just connotes adult male. It’s why l have always gone with Ms, ie adult female. I like the idea that l don’t have to announce my marital status unless l choose to. Just like men .
