I’ve been debating on whether or not to get personlized cufflinks for my fiance for our wedding day. I really like some on Etsy where you can get your wedding date and initials on them. I’m into details like this – I think they will look sweet and be cool in pictures.
However, I’m torn because
1) he’s really not into fashion and would never buy cufflinks for himself, nor does he really care about little details like this, though I’m sure he’d think it was sweet (but not for 40 bucks…)
2) he will never use these again (except maybe someday if one of our kids gets married)
Thoughts? We aren’t strapped for cash, so I could definitely get these. I just don’t feel like spending the money if it’s not worth it. I’d rather have the $40 to put towards nicer Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts or something.

I ordered my Fiance cufflinks from Etsy. They have a picture of a sailboat in him (his favorite passion). I tried to find ways to incorporate his favorite things in the wedding but it was very difficult without it turning into a theme. So I thought this way he would have something special that day. I know no one else will see it and he probably won’t wear them again, but he’ll appreciate them. I think I spent $35-40 on them and will give them to him at the rehearsal dinner.
If you know he’ll like them, I would get them. You can always find a way to dsiplay them after the wedding so they won’t be lost and forgotten. This might help him remember your anniversary, too. 🙂

I love it, I will be doing the same thing, getting a set of cufflinks for his wedding gift, in our wedding colours (blue and purple) and with our initials intertwined 🙂
