I went to a wedding that had the personalized m&ms as favors and everyone loved them.  They were so cute!

We are doing this! I think it is a fun idea. 🙂

It is a fun idea, but honestly… no one, other than a bride, will really have that much appreciation for it. They’ll be too busy scarfing the treats down to really notice!

I like the idea to take the extra money & get m&m’s in your colors and find something cute to package it in!

They’re cute – but in my book, not a necessity!

I liked the idea but not the cost, so I compromised.  I heard the picture ones don’t look great so they were out.  Our colors were silver and dark blue.  They only print in black and I didn’t think that would show up very well on the dark blue.  I ordered the silver ones with our names on them and the blue ones plain.  Then I mixed them together and put them into little white boxes tied with blue ribbon.  I added a label (it was supposed to be silver but long story short, that didn’t work out) with everyone’s name and table number so they doubled as place cards.

Lots of people noticed that they had our names and loved the idea!

Overall I think it cost about $700 to make about 220 of them.  I got 30lbs of M&Ms for about $550 using coupons I found online.  It was a lot but I rationalized that they were both favors and escort cards!

We were also going to do the personalized mm’s (my future mother-in-law offered to pay for them) but I personlly thought it wasn’t “personal” enough. We have decided to use her toffee recipe and make tons of it! I think guests would prefer toffee over mm’s… but thats just my opinion 🙂
