You gonna laugh but Father always said to lose weight when no one else is hitting on you or looking at you. Thats when its time to make a change. It kinda stuck with me, what he said.

I don’t even own a scale. But if my jeans are feeling a little more snug, I know to lay off the pizza and pick up an apple.
My face tends to get a little chubby before any other part of my body shows that I gained weight! It’s very frustrating but at the same time I can tell right away if I put on 1lb and work “against” it, so it never goes out of control.
To answer the question: when my size 2 Lucky Brand jeans start feeling too snug and I have to wear the 4’s instead. Kinda like right now, lol.
I weigh myself every Thursday and record it and I know the number I like to maintain and if it begins to creep up, I immediately cut back. Also, the way my jeans fit is a good indicator of my weight. Cutting back usually equals a bit less refined carbs, not as many nightly glasses of wine, and better portioning my evening dessert.
Once my jeans start to feel tighter than usual, I know it’s time to add a few extra miles to my runs!
How my clothes fit and scale. Mostly the clothes though… I can fluctuate 3-7 lbs and my clothes still feel ok but once they start to get too tight it’s time to cut back on my eating a bit.
When I have been a 10 for awhile, and I just bought an 8 not that long ago, and now none of my 10 clothes fit (but the 8 still does)…and none of the 10s I try on fit, I know it’s time to lose weight. Or at least fat. I don’t care about the number on the scale. I just want to look good and feel good in my clothes.
How my clothes fit, but moreso how I look naked. When I start looking more straight up and down instead of hourglass, I know I need to change.
Clothes for me too!! I had my big wake up moment right before Christmas when my skinny jeans wouldnt fit. Ive since lost 5/6 lbs since then just by counting my calories!!
I actually weigh myself every day. I have a “whoa” number, where when I see that number, I take action. I feel like if I only use my clothes, I’ll get more overweight by the time I notice and I’d rather not even head in that direction. The sooner I catch an upward trend, the easier it is to nip it in the bud – and I’d rather get a “false positive” (cut back because I think I’m gaining when really I just drank a bunch of water or something) than not notice.
How my clothes fit, I havent owned a scale in years!! I can get a little obsessed with my weight, and Im a bit insecure at times(okay a lot)
I honestly dont even know what I weigh anymore!! When my clothes start getting too tight, its time to lose :p Weight can change so much with water weight, also fat and muscle weigh different. The best way to judge it is how happy you are with the way you look, not what a scale says 🙂
