I totally get it! We have two cats and I get so sad when we have to leave them for 24+ hours.. and now we just got a pup and we can’t have any animals at our venue, which we’ll be at for 3 days, 2 nights. Makes me sad!! 🙁

I am sad I can’t have my puppy at our wedding. I wanted him to be the ring bearer. we are gonna take pics of the dogs in tuxs and formal wear all over San Francisco at landmarks and use those as our table numbers.

I love my cats and all, but I probably wouldn’t be worrying about this 9 months in advance. I don’t even think I’d be stressing about my own child 9 months in advance.
Hey, you asked!

@reine_de_rien: Um, hello, that would be BEST thing ever!! You have to invite me if you figure out a way to include them. 😛
I would love to see the reaction on our venue coordinator’s face if I asked her if cats are allowed…

You’ve gotten lots of replies, but…
Nope, you’re not nuts! I’m so sad our furkids won’t be there for the big day. Once we get home, we’ll have a photo session with our dog and two ferrets, and we’ll all be in wedding attire. (Our dog loves to dress up). They are all staying with a good friend, but we’ll miss them dearly! I always wanted my dog to be a flower girl and my ferrets to be ring bearers, but it just wasn’t possible. …after re-reading this, who’s the crazy one, now?! haha

Our dog was in our pro pics and at out reception because we had a cookout at our house. I am glad he’ll be in pictures but honestly you’ll be so busy/crazy on the day of that you won’t even notice. I slept in the bed with my dog the night before, he was there all day going in and out while people were setting up, I know this, but I don’t remember seeing him at all and we certainly didn’t have any quality time.
Take a few nice pictures with them before the rehearsal! They won’t know the difference, they love you whether it’s Christmas, your wedding or just a day you’re stuck home with the flu. It’s very sweet that you care about them so much but try not to plan around seeing them the day of, you’ll regret it.

I’ll probably have to miss my cats, but the dog will be in the wedding.
I would really love to take her on the honeymoon (she is a frequent traveler) but it will depend on where we go. If we go overseas it will be hard to take her with. I will miss her terribly though as she usually travels with me so I am never apart from her.
@Aure: Have fun at Sea World. I live right down the street – but have never been. Strange huh?
