We recently got the a dlink HD camera with 360 motion to watch Boomer while he’s home alone. It has a feature that allows us to talk to him and him to talk back, but we never do that because it would confuse him BIG TIME. Now we can see what he is up to all day (SPOILER ALERT: He sleeps all day!).
Santa Claus brought Boomer an automatic pet feeder last Christmas that we fill up with treats every morning. This allows us to set the feeder to rotate every 2 hours, which results in Boomer getting his butt off the couch to go get his snack. He is 10 years old, so we were getting concerned with him spending 8+ hours on the couch without moving. Now, he jumps off the couch and runs to his “treat machine” when it goes off. In the morning he stands by the machine to make sure I don’t forget to fill it up. LOL

We have a Foscam, cheap ($40), easy to set up, works perfectly and had night vision. My dog is boring is literally sleeps the entire 9-10 hours we’re at work so I got bored and stopped watching him…

I got the Pet Cube. It’s nice because you can talk to your animals. But my puppy doesn’t seem to care when I yell at him to stop chewing on things. He ignores me unless I’m actually there.

We have Nest and absolutely love it. Like a PP said, we got it after a breakin but love watching our dog when we leave her alone. We have been using it since we got her at 10 weeks ago. We tried talking to her a few times but she just got confused and then started barking looking for us. I have been know to obsessively check on her while we are out to dinner, but all of our friends love being able to spy on her.
Our doggy day care also has webcams so I watch her while I am at work also!
