Dexter is his given name.
Dexter is his given name.
Our cat’s name is technically “Aileen” (we adopteed her at 9 months).. we decided to call her “Ali” but for some reason I always just call her “Lovey”!
We call Luke a few different things… Lil mahf or mahflet. The “mahf” was started by my fiancé. His friends got it from some tv show and it’s short for mother f*cker haha. But mahf sounds cute.
Our cat’s name is Maxine, but I neeeever call her that! I call her kitty, puss, smalls, lil lady, smally, pussy wussy or whatever else comes to my mind!
Hahaha, we do. My dog, Ginger is AKA Gingy, Ging, GingerBelle, Baby, Puppers, Sweet Girl and Princess (particularly when she climbs into bed with her head on FI’s pillow):
And then there is my cat, Eli who is AKA: Fatty, Fatass, Little Bastard, the Prince, sweet boy and some names Fiance has given him that I won’t repeat LOL
He will NOT look at a camera, but look how sweet he is when Mama is sick!!
We have two cats: Snickers: she’s a tortoise shell cat (black and brown), hence the candy bar name, Lizzie: she’s a yellow tabby and we have one dog named Woods (see pic below). My Fiance had the cats before we met and we got the dog together (my Fiance is big into rescuing animals but this is it!! No more 🙂 )
Nicknames for Snickers:
She is a FAT cat so we call her Snackers 🙂 We also call her Snix Snix, Snickies, and Snickerdoodle
Nicknames for Lizzie:
Lizard, Lizzie girl, Lizzie Liz
And our baby, Woods …Fiance found him and 4 of his siblings in the woods…this is how he came to name him. So cute.
Nicknames for Woods:
Woody, Woodney, Woodserton, Woody Woods, Woody Poody, Woody Poody Puddin Pie
-Christmas pic was back in 2009 wearing my turtle sweater that was too stretched for me to use anymore (before he put it on 🙂 )
-Fall 2010 having a great time running around the park
I had some great nicknames for my golden retriever! She has since passed away.. but I wanted to share her’s anyway 🙂 Her name was Cindy and I loved calling her: Cinder, Cinderelli, Rella, Rella Roo, Rell, My Cinder Girl, Cinderella, Roo, My Little Relli Roo, Beauty.. and she responded to all of those, haha!
And here’s a picture! Hope it doesn’t come out too big!
I am so glad that we are not the only ones with silly pet names! Our dog is Diesel, and yes, we know that’s a strange name for 14lb furball. We found him on Petfinder, and in the time between when our adopton application was accepted, and we brought him home, as we discussed names, Darling Husband jokingly would call him “Terminator” or “Bone Crusher.” The funny thing is that since Diesel is a puppy mill rescue who missed some crucial socialization, he’s afraid of engines. Oh well! We love him more than words can say.
Somehow Diesel earned a “the” before his name. I don’t know how or why he became “The Diesel,” but he did. And of course we frequently use baby talk with him, so The Diesel becomes Da Deesoo. I also call him Goober, Gooberty Goo, or Gubenschmertz. No idea where those came from! DH usually calls him Baba (again, no idea where that’s from) or Bugger Butt.
Lol too funny. I never thought about it, but we totally do. My rabbit’s name is Pandora, but we will often call her “The Buns” or “Moose.” Not so many pet names with the cat. His name is Shadow–my husband calls him “Boy” sometimes LOL. Well, actually his full name is Shadowfax, but we always call him Shadow, so I don’t think of it as a pet name, more of just an abbreviation. And of course some photos for good measure 😉
We have a corgi mix. She has a multitude of nicknames. I can’t remember the last time Fiance or I called her by her real name (Raisin)
She will answer to any of them haha. She is not the brightest dog ever.
I usually call Oliver: Ollie, Ollie Wollie Oxen Free, Meowzilla, Catzilla, Fluff, ginormo, Fat Cat, Fuzz, Pumpkin Pie, etc.
We call Charlie: Chuck, Charles, Meows, Meowerson, Mr. Meowerson, Senor Meowerson, Fuzz, Stretch, Slim, Meowza.
Haha, cute! Our dog Zoe gets called Zo-zo, Zoe girl, Baby girl, Wrinkle Head… the list goes on!
My fiancé and I have a long-haired tabby cat named Oscar. Fiance says that I call him anything but his name. I always do this with pets.
Osco, oscokitty, kitty, oscito, bosco, stinky, stinkbutt, turd, turdburgler, bumpy, bumpybutt, little man, little fang, its endless.
Our puppydog is called Darwin. I call him booby (a mixture of boo-boo and baby), baby, bhuji (which is a pet name in hindi), bhuji-bhuji, boo-boo, juju, sweetiepie
