I cannot stand it when people are at the checkout on their phones. It. Is. Infuriating. If I’m on the phone in line, I’ll either hang up first or tell the person (usually my mom) “hey, hang on” and set the phone down so I can talk to the cashier like a human. I’ve been in customer service jobs for 15+ years, and nothing makes my blood boil more than not being acknowledged because someone is too wrapped up in their own drama. It never fails, the conversations are always someone gossiping about how so and so is in jail or did so and so wrong by cheating or whatever. Maddening.
Most recently, I was working at a local pharmacy, and I cannot count the number of people that walked up on a call ON SPEAKER OR FACETIME and would just keep talking like I wasn’t even there. Or with earbuds in so you think they’re talking to you but they’re not. So freaking disrespectful!!!!

I really cannot stand people who talk loud and think you care about their conversations. I am kind of the opposite of PP; I am perfectly fine with people not speaking with me and pretending I am not there. Just keep your damn conversations to yourself!!!

sweetiemermaid : yes there are always those ones. I hope I never encounter them though! I’m not one to tell someone else how to parent but if a stranger yelled at me for stopping their kid from doing something that would get them hurt I’d lay into them with all my judginess.

This is why I hate going to the grocery store. People don’t have any manners.

People watching TV or playing music from their phones in public. I sat next to a woman getting a pedicure blaring the audio on her phone. In a spa! It also happens in restaurants all the time. I don’t want to listen to your show, you tube videos or music while I eat and chat with a friend or read a book. I’ve thought about buying a few earbuds from the dollar store and handing them out to offenders! I’m getting cranky in my old age. Even As the mother of 4, I’m also getting very intolerant of other people’s kids in restaurants. I always left when my kids acted up even if it meant leaving it all on the table. Especially in a nice romantic restaurant.
