I would definitely use dawn dishwashing soap. A little bit of baking soda saturated with vinegar will work, too. Vinegar in general is a pretty great disinfectant & cleaner.

Edit: Hydrogen peroxide & rubbing alcohol won’t hurt your pets if it evaporates before you put them back in. Peroxide is often used in animals to induce vomiting, so don’t let ’em drink it and I’d let the alcohol completely evaporate. I’d only use these two if you were really worried about the germ factor.

For every day cleaning, though, I’d use dawn.
