Well, my wedding is only 2 weeks away, and I have been unexpectedly working 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks, and can’t see having a day off any time soon. *panic attack* Anyway, I’ve had to scrap a lot of my DIY projects because of this, petal cones being one of them as I really couldn’t be bothered making them.
I’ve been looking for alternatives to put petals in for guests to throw at us.
I was thinking of just using the smallest (I think it is 8 oz) size of noodle boxes. They would work out cheaper than making the cones anyway, and obviously way easier, and they could sit nicely on the chairs or could hang. I was thinking maybe cutting the tops off the boxes would make it easier for everyone?
My only issue is this seems very wasteful.
What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea?

Do you have a picture of the noddle boxes that you can post?

You could always just wrap them in tulle also, or even tissue paper. What about treat bags? Those tulle sacks they make for favors would work also. All would be way cheaper than the togo chinese boxes.

@Miss Smurf: Sorry, here’s a picture.
I would use the baby size, which would fit about a cup of petals which seems as though it would be a perfect amout.
@tksjewelry: I can get the noodle boxes for really cheap so cost is not a issue at all. I could get enough for all my guests for around $15. I was just considering ease of use (is it hard to get petals out of bags/tissue/tulle without them losing half of them, especially if it’s a little breezy?) and ease for me (I wouldn’t have to do anything.
Any other thoughts.
