I’m 4’11” and ended up ordering an a-line dress from David’s Bridal: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_jewel-lace-a-line-wedding-dress-with-beading-wg3755. In the photos I’m wearing the regular size in ivory with champagne overlay, and 4-inch heels. However, I ordered the petite size in white on white.

I found ball gowns to be overwhelming for my frame and mermaid gowns made me look really short. The a-line made me look taller (or as tall as I can look!)

I’m 5’0. I wore tennis shoes for my first look and then flip flops the rest of the time.

I am 5’2″ and petite overall. I was open to ball gown (dropped waist), mermaid and trumpet. Ended up with trumet/fit n flare. I loved how mermaid looked but was hard to move, and I am planning to dance a lot. This dress just was so me that I ended up buying it even though we don’t have a definite date yet LOL It is size bigger so I need to alter it. Sorry I don’t have better pics 🙁 I am not wearing any shoes in the photos, will wear heels for the wedding since my fiance is 6′
