I am 5’3″ and this is my baby! I’m just about to start my alterations within the next week or 2. I’m so excited to clean her up and make her perfect!

I’m 5’1 and went the tea length route for my summer outdoor wedding. This was while trying it on at the store and haven’t had it taylored yet.

I am 5’0 with big hips. I thought I was going to hate anything that hugged my body because I’ve always been pretty self-conscious, but of course I went with a fit and flare! I felt that the ballgowns were too much for my short statute, and the A-line hid my curves… I actually wanted to embrace them for once! My measurements are 30.5-24-36.5. Lacking in the bust area, but I feel like the shape of this dress really balanced out my body shape. I didn’t like all of the fit and flare and mermaids that I tried on, but this one felt flattering and I loved it!

(I am standing on a pedestal, so it definitely needs to be hemmed once it comes in)

I’m around 5’3. I don’t remember if I was wearing shoes there… But if I were, it was a 3″ heels. My dress’s underlining is short enough for me to walk barefoot without tripping.

I’m 5’1″ and my fiancé is a foot taller than me so I will be wearing 4″ wedges on the big day. I’m not wearing any shoes here, you can see it’s very long on me, beginning alterations this week! I’m hoping to change the dress top to a halter style.

I’m 5’3″ exactly. Wearing 3.5″ heels. My train is removable and I am going to have the dress itself hemmed so it won’t need a bustle.

This thread is great! I think it just goes to show that there are no “rules” about what petite brides should wear. I’m seeing brides of all shapes and sizes rocking every silhouette imaginable here. Just have to find what works for you!

I’m 5’3, about 150 lbs in these pictures (I’ve lost a couple pounds since, but pretty much look the same). I’ve got a big butt/hips, small-ish chest.

The first one is the dress I bought, second was the other one I was considering. Both Maggie Sottero.
