would you want to share a picture of the dress you bought? 🙂

You should feel absolutely beautiful on your wedding day, so if you’re underwhelmed, then definitely look again if it’s in your budget!

I am 5’0. I chose a ballgown (something totally unexpected). However, I’m standing on the podium here and didn’t really think until recently, how it would reaaaally look when I’m just in my heels and not looking so “tall”. Hopefully it’s OK! but I love the dress and it’s definitely too expensive for regrets. LOL

(I know I’ve posted my dress about 8737564 different times, sorry guys!!)

bell616:  oh gosh, wow, i honeslty think your dress is BEAUTIFUL. I do not think there’s too much going on at the top at all!! Most importantly, you need to feel absolutely amazing in it.

While dress shopping the first time, did you try on ruffles dresses? mermaids? all kinds?

I really do love, love your dress now!

bell616:  when else in your life would you wear a gown like that?  Own it! Rock the friggin’ thing! You gonna look awesome in it.  It’s a beautiful dress,  some incredible beadwork, and it emphasises your tiny waist.

I think once your dress is altered and not so long at the bottom you might feel better. I think it looks gorgeous on you i also am having dress regret from the moment I said yes so i feel your pain but its not in my budget to keep looking so I’m trying to overcome it. I think a large part is thinking what if i missed out on something better. I went with an a line i originally wanted a mermaid or fit and flare but being able to dance was important so that swayed my choice. I’m 5’1 just to give you an idea.

bell616:  That’s a beautiful dress!

I’m a 5’0 plus sized pear and I’ll also be in a ball gown. I swear, I totally wasn’t gonna get one because before my dress, they all made me look like a cupcake (srsly, they kept putting me in these drop waisted gowns and they are completely horrible on me!). I was about to pay for a cute lace fit n flare and the owner stopped me, said “you have got to try this on!” and the rest is history.

Here was the dress I was about to buy:

…and here’s what I bought in the end:

m2016:  I never tire of seeing your dress!

bell616:  You look stunning in that dress. End of strory. Who says a petite girl can’t wear a ball gown?  As for “swallowing you up” I think that’s an issue of proportion.  An excessivley full hooped gown may have a swallowing effect on a thin, tiny frame but I don’t think a full skirt per se does that. And who says a petite girl can’t wear ruffles?  Even little kids in pagents wear ruffles. I think throw the rule book out and wear what your heart desires.

Anyone who says petite brides can’t rock ballgowns can take it up with me!

I’m 5’1 and refused to wear heels.

bell616:  Ok, ballgowns is DEFINITELY your thing! That last ball gown you tried on is absolutely lovely as well. But, I still think the one you have is the best!
