I wouldn’t worry about it. I am only 5’1″ and I couldn’t even get a petite in my gown. IT is likely going to need to be altered, anyway, so they will shorten it as it needs to be done.

I am a Maggie bride and I ordred mine in petite.  Usually the petite is 3 inch shorter In length ONLY and to order petite its free of charge….You can get custom size where you get it 6 inch shorter but you would have to pay extra for that.  I didn’t do the 6 inch shorter b/c being only 5’0 I would still have to alter the hem so there was really no point.

Hope that helps.

I am only 5’1″ and was not even able to order a petite sized gown. I was actually worried more that it would come in too short than too long b/c I had a muslin made and the muslin came in 3 inches too short! I forced them to order teh actual dress 3 inches longer than they recommended and thank god I did b/c it ended up being the perfect length. It’s much harder to add length to a dress than take it away!

@jeye7161: A bridal consultant told me the bodice would come up too, but I was later told that was a lie. The length is the only thing shortened. You can buy a petticoat to flare out your gown more, a trumpet one if you only want the bottom flaring out.

@moderndaisy: how come you couldn’t order the petite gown? When I ordered mine they measured my hollow to hem vs a Maggie dress and with 4 inch heels the length will still be an inch too long. Did you order from Maggie or was this a custom dress? Their petite size may be different.
