I have chosen a simple a line bridesmaid dress as my wedding dress but i do want to add a petticoat for a little extra fullness. All of the petticoats that i am finding online seem to have visible seam and waistbands, which, under a thicker wedding dress probably wouldnt show through but my dress has much less lining.
Has anyone else out there worn a bridesmaids dress with a petticoat for their wedding dress? My concern is that because there is only 2 layers of fabric in the skirt that ripples, seams etc will show through.

Is there anyway you could post a picture of your dress? I have an A-line dress that I put a petticoat under and it isn’t noticeable at all, but I’m sure it would depend on the material the dress is made of.

@carmy147: There are a lot of different petticoat styles out there. I’d make sure to get one that has the lycra beginning at the natural waist. That is least likely to show through. The ones that have a tie or are looser may show through if the dress is a thinner material. Hope that helps!

This is the dress here. Obviously it will be white though. The skirt looks full here but that just the magic of photography for ya! In reality it is only a satin layer underneath with a chiffon layer overtop.
