I am trying to cut some flower costs. Our original proposal included 10 “pew arrangements” to go on chairs along the aisle for our ceremony. The cost for this was $200.
Has anyone done anything creative (and less $$) instead of flowers? I don’t love the bow look.

I love the look of lanterns or hanging tealights from the pew!
However, we’re having a winter wedding (and still can’t afford lanterns), so we’re probably going to go with something like this

Well, we are doing flowers, but we’re diy-ing it for really cheap. Here’s what we’re thinking:
The jars were really cheap (a friend gave us ours for free, but they also sell them by the dozen in the grocery store) and I’m growing the flowers, but you could also run to a farmers market or something and buy some. I would imagine that $30 would cover all you would need for 10.
Or, you could take the same idea and fill them with something else, depending on what your wedding is like. You could use sand and seashells, sea glass, candles, cinnamon sticks, feathers, dried lavender, pine cones, some of those little wicker balls- there are a ton of options. You could also do some branches if you sat the jars on the ground. Check out http://www.save-on-crafts.com and see some of the stuff they have there…
