Thank you everyone for your input.
Jamielee – no I am absolutely not jittery at all. I feel great. If anything it gives me a bit of pep. I feel really healthy. My heartrate is still at 56 beats per minute. It’s the same as it was before. HONEST! Thank you for responding!!!
Happyonceagain – I’m so sorry your weight has been so up and down. I gained 30 pounds moving in with my Fiance because I was drinking beer at least 2 times a weekend and at least 6-8 beers each one of those days. I was eating Bacon cheeseburgers and french fries at least once a week. I was eating huge portions. I would get mad if my Fiance had more on his plate then me, not putting two and two together that he is supposed to eat more than me. With the help of this I’m going to shrink my stomach and learn how to eat again….if that makes sense. I eat 3 times a day I just dont feel the need to eat as much. To give you an idea of what it was like for me before here is one typical work day for me:
7 am. Diet Coke, breakfast burritos and one hashbrown from McDonalds
12 p.m. a 12 inch plate of salad heaping with cheese, cottage cheese, sunflower seeds, ranch dressing, bacon bits, etc.
2 p.m. a small bag of peanut butter m and m’s and a diet coke
5 p.m. a pack of twizzler nibs
7 p.m. 4 slices of pepperoni pizza and another diet coke
8 p.m. a heaping bowl of strawberry ice cream at least 3 servings
I hope this gives you an idea of how big my appetite is/was. I got way too comfortable with my Fiance. Going from being dirt poor only eating ramen noodles and dry cereal everyday to having red meat stocked to the brim in our freezer and him always having the cabinets stocked with hamburger helper and my favorite…cookies! I hope that I dont have the same results as you and I applaud you for your surgery. You were given a second chance, I hope you dont throw it away like most of my co-workers. If I could afford it I would have had Gastric Bypass! Thanks again!
Lisa1783 – I was on Alli and I really liked it except I allowed myself to continue to eat high fat foods like my baconcheeseburgers because I knew a portion would come out right away. That’s not the right state of mind for someone wanting to lose weight. You have to be committed and you have to do it the RIGHT way. I couldn’t get it right. I would go back on it but the FDA just came out not too long ago saying it ruins your liver. I dont know why it’s still on the market but I have damaged my liver enough in college and I dont want to ruin it anymore if I can help it. And honestly I think if I took it again I would fall back into my old behaviors and eat everything I wanted. At least with Phentermine I have a doctor checking in on me every week. I have her personal number if anything happens and I have finally found appetite control. If you have ever seen the lap band commercial with the lady standing in front of the fridge talking about how she couldn’t ever control her hunger….that is me. I have no control. I lost all the control I had when I met Fiance and stopped taking care of my body. Thank you so much for responding!!! Whoops – P.S. I didn’t eat just a half packet of oatmeal, I was just saying with the 64 ounces plus of water I consume (your supposed to take your weight and divide it by two and that’s how much water you are supposed to consume) I dont feel as hungry as I did. I never drank water before starting my diet/exercise….that’s 2 years of drinking beer and pop and that’s it….that is so embarrassing! For lunch that day I had a 280 calorie lean cuisine chicken fried rice and an apple. For dinner I had a slice of block cheddar cheese *my favorite and instead of 5 I limited myself to one* I had a 340 lean cuisine shrimp alfredo and a small glass of white wine…the perfect meal!!! I love Lean Cuisine meals, they are the perfect portion, you can count your calories and they are super yummy. I’m constantly making people jealous with the aromas coming from the microwave! Haha I love it!
stlginkgo – My doctor who prescribed this is a great friend and a very well respected doctor. I know for a fact she would not purposely harm me. It would not be available if it was detrimental to my health. If it got into the wrong hands yes it could be very bad. After this post I will post from drugs.com everything I have learned and maybe it will ease your mind. Thank you for your concerns. Check back on this post and see my progress and if I continue to take it or not. I hope I prove you wrong but I promise if things turn south I am done! Thanks again!
