Oh man. So things with my venue haven’t been going very well. (not retuning phone calls or emails, being dismissive when we asked a question, not being helpful for our guests who try to book rooms) So I was finally fed up today, and told my wedding planner that I wanted to have a serious conversation with the owner and make sure we were on the same page. We let them know our concerns, and that if we couldn’t resolve the issues I was having, that we would go ahead and cancel our event….
Well, 30 seconds after I sent the email, I get a phone call from the owner apologizing, and assuring me that changes are going to be made.
What a relief! I would have hated to look for a new venue, especially for 9.10.11!
Man, sometimes planning a wedding can be a lot to deal with. At least I feel like I’m honing my negotiation skills!
