  • Wedding: April 2016 - Ed Oliver Golf Club, Wilmington, DE

Hi! I got married in April at Ed Oliver golf club located in Wilmington, DE. We did the “gold package” which was slightly more than $75 (I think) with the bar package we chose. They do have a silver package and they have many bar options available. They were great to work with and very aware of my budget restrictions. It is a smaller venue; can only seat about 135 or so, but that was perfect for us. The food was delicious and everything was beautiful. I would give it a look!

I’ve stay out of the city of Phila. – 8% sales tax and it’s 10% on alcohol -and lean towards Delaware, where there’s no sales tax. My daughter married on a Sunday in DE, and saved 20% off the Saturday night rate.

You can look into Bella Tori Mansion in Langhorne PA. They’re pretty reasonable.

klauren417 :  For how many guests? I’m only familiar with Philly, but both Colonial Dames and the Barn at Ridgeland (which is in Fairmount park) have low rental fees and allow you to bring your own alcohol and use any caterer you want. I think there are a few other historic houses that are similar. Colonial Dames is pretty small though.
