I’m overwhelmed. I can’t decide on a photgrapher. Other than marrying the love of my life, my photos are very important to me. I’ve stalked blogs, and boards and can’t seem to find the perfect fit.
We aren’t getting married until April 2015 and I know I have rime, but Philly Photogs book so fast my top 2 choices aren’t available because they are already booked. I think that is why I feel so defeated. I’d love to hear suggestions and reviews and even see your favorite pics. I’m all ears Bees. Help!!!

Kristihop0413: Have you looked at this link? http://www.kgmexpressions.com/
They are great to work with, technically excellent and very creative – and also offer a variety of packages.

Kristihop0413: What is your budget? What style are you looking for? I have many recommendations, but they will depend on your budget!
We just booked Susan Stripling and I’m pretty much so obsessed with her work. She has been amazing so far. I would highly recommend her.
We also really loved Cliff Mautner. You could also check out Asya Photography. I think that a style and budget would help us to make some more educated recommendations, though!

I used April Ziegler. Actually, so did my sister. We love her! And she is so easy to work with.

We do not want to spend more than 4500-5000. I know susan and cliff are high. I love their work but we are paying dor everything ourselves so we have to cap it somewhere. I would like a full day (at least 7-8 hours), with touch-ups and with print rights. I don’t mind adding an album and prints/canvas pics later.
I’m finding a lot of photogs haven’t even responded to my info requests/emails.

Kristihop0413: Cliff is likely out of that range. Susan offers packages so if you aren’t intent on getting an album, it might be worth it to reach out to her.
You could also try Asya photography. Asya might be out of your price range but their other shooter Grace might still be in that range.
Tyler Boye photography has different shooters. Some will be more than your range but others are likely less.
I believe Love Me Do photography might also have some packages within your price range. Spark photography offers different packages, some of which should be below the numbers you have quoted.
You could also try M2 photography…especially some of their associate photogs will be below 4-5K for basic packages without albums, etc.
Have you tried/do you like any of these? They might be worth a shot! When looking at photographers, there was only one I never heard back from. Sometimes those internet submission forums can be quirky, though. From now on, it might be helpful to call!

i haven’t heard back from Tyler Boye or M2 yet. It’s been 3-4 days. I will give them time. Asya and Love me Do did family and friends weddings and I wasn’t thrilled with what I saw.
Spark responded but I wanted to compare others before I “jumped into bed” with the first one that seemed to fit, if you know what I mean. I think I just want to make sure I’m choosing correctly.

Kristihop0413: Yeah I don’t blame you. M2 took FOREVER to get back to me, only to tell me that they could only supply a second shooter. I think I called Tyler Boye so that might be why I heard back quickly…I can’t remember. If you really did love Susan’s work though, you might be able to find a rate that works for you! I also know that Spark is pretty creative. They have really happy clients, too. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Spark, so I’m sure they’re great.
Sorry for all of the run around! I’m not getting married until June of 2015 but I’ve booked our venue, church, band, and photog really quickly because of how crazy competitive Philadelphia is! I can sympathize.

We used Todd Frame and absolutely loved both him and his work. He has some amazing artistic talent and is a breeze to work with – he cares so much about ensuring that you’re happy with everything and is willing to go above and beyond. He’s at least worth checking out! He’s based in the suburbs so packages start a little lower, but likely you’ll end up in the 4k range (maybe a little less depending on what you choose). Good luck! I know it’s so overwhelming.
