ashgab13:  AHHHH so many good vendors you have there. I’ve heard nothing but the absolute best about Front and Palmer/Feast Your Eyes.

Carl Alan is my florist, too! Who are you working with there…is it Vito? I seriously ADORE him!!

I had a friend purchase her dress from Lovely Bride and she said that she had a great experience.

crackktheskyy:  2 daughters married 15 months apart (and we hosted 100%). I didn’t pull all my hair out, but I did lose some of my sanity.

I love small, local stores – they’re great with customer service. We would have never gone with MW a 2nd time, but the bridal party men lived in FL, VA, and 5 hours west of us.

P.S. I always recommend BVT Live to everyone – love Kurt and Dave, etc. The other two, large talent firms are much more expensive; a man I talked to, at another company, was so obnoxious, over the phone- I wouldn’t have booked with them if they were free.

2XMOB:  Wow that is so generous of you — I know for certain your daughters must have been floored at your generosity! My parents are hosting 100%, too, and I know we are so beyond thankful we don’t even know what to do with ourselves!

I too love small local stores. I worked for a small business for 8 years — from highschool up through grad school — so I know how wonderful the service is. We also have groomsmen all over the place. My brother, who lives in FL, can’t make it up until the wedding which is also why we originally considered MW. This new place though said they do long distance all the time and it wouldn’t be a problem! (Fingers crossed!)

I’m so pleased to hear that you have had such a fabulous experience with BVT Live, as we have already contracted Jellyroll to play! Is that who your daughters had? I know Kurt plays in Jellyroll and he has been wonderful to work with. We are so pleased!

Thank you again for all of your help!

crackktheskyy:  I found Jellyroll, asked my daughter to look at their videos, and she said yes. That’s the only band she looked at – I did a lot of research, so they wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time planning. We didn’t even see them live. Kurt plays the trombone – my husband used to play it, so it was important to have one. The bride and I both played the violin, so their having a violinist, too, was the icing on the cake. I hired one of their electric violinists, as a surprise for her bridal shower.

My SIL wanted a bar/club band (grunge?), and when my husband looked at their website/clothing/tattoos, said NO! Luckily the band broke up shortly afterwards. We needed a band that would appeal to all our guests and had a large songlist. The SIL ended up loving Jellyroll – there were so many compliments.

With the 2nd daughter, we listened to 10 bands, with 2 different agencies.  That SIL is a former professional performer, so is very picky. It drove me crazy. I told them if they didn’t make a decision soon, I’d buy everyone a kazoo, and they could make their own music! They also chose a BVT band.

2XMOB:  That’s awesome that you did so much research for them! It’s hard not to love the kind of stuff BVT Live is turning out, anyway.  Too funny about your SIL wanting a grunge band at the wedding!

I’m definitely thrilled with our vendors so far! The only two that we’ve had any sort of issues with we’ve cut loose (Men’s Wearhouse and a crazy hair stylist).

crackktheskyy:  I’m working with Pam and she is amazing.  Haven’t met Vito yet but Carl is adorable!!  And Lovely Bride was such a great, low-stress experience – I couldn’t have been more happy with them (and of course, the great designers they feature)
