HELP! I am trying to plan a cost-effecient wedding (HA, right?) for about 160 people. My fiance and I are hopeful to get married May 2016 in Greater Philadelphia (but not in the city itself). Open to Montogomery/Chester/Bucks counties, also Delaware/NJ or even further.
We have a budget of $8,000 to spend on venue/food/alcohol and would prefer everything on site. We’re also open to outdoors but would need a solid rain plan just in case.
Any suggestions on how to make this work within our budget? I want a nice wedding, where people can eat good food, dance to a DJ, and have a great time celebrating with us.
Help is appreciated!!!!! Thank you!!!

Thanks! I actually did meet with them but unfortunately they have a minimum spend ($25K)… so regardless of if you have enough people to spend that much, you have to pay the minimum… not a fan. Beautiful space though!!
I’m open to blank spaces that would require coordinating outside catering, vendors, etc. too. The whole wedding industry is crazy expensive!

To be honest, I don’t know the price, but my friend had a pretty low budget wedding here:
It’s in Malvern (Chester Co).
Montgomery might be less expensive.

I’ve been to the General Warren Inne before for things besides weddings, and it’s actually a very small place, and there isn’t one single large room. If they could fit 160 people, realize that you’d all be split between 4-5 rooms.

The Gables at Chaddsford…a few Bees here had their weddings there and had nothing but great things to say about it.
