@pooks75:

What about getting drop off catering services from your favorite restaurant, and hiring some university students or aquaintances to serve?

I had a party at my house in April in Plymouth Meeting and used Blackfish Restaurant – actually the catering company is called Charles Roman Catering.  We had passed appetizers and then a buffet dinner (completely amazing food…) and it was $35 pp.  They came to my house, made all the food right there, cleaned up – and we had 75 people at our house.   The only reason we’re not having our reception at the restaurant is that they want a ton of $ to close the restaurant for the night and the restaurant is way too small for the number of people we are having.  I highly recommend them.
