We are using Silver Sound

I’m also getting married in November. We got DJ Steve Vazquez and we are very happy so far. When we met, he already had a schedule of the wedding timeline and a proposal on how the music would progress.

He brought his laptop and gave us a few ideas on what to do.

Good luck.

I highly recommend John Romani of Electric Entertainment.  He did our wedding, and the dance floor was packed all night.  He followed the playlist we gave him, but if a song we requested cleared the dance floor, he was quick to change things up and get people dancing again.  He only talked to introduce us and say a few things to guide guests throughout the evening — we wanted NONE of the cheesy commentary and he understood that!  He also piped music into our cocktail hour for free. He was good about not playing the music too loud while some of the older guests still wanted to sit and talk, but playing it loud enough that it felt like a party.

We met with him twice before the big day and he was great about understanding the kind of music we like and what we wanted for our wedding.

His website is ancient, but he’s great!

We’re using NoMacarena…. it was started by a woman who used to work at WXPN.  http://nomacarena.com

We’re working with Toner Sound.  I’ve also used Toner for events at work, and they’ve always done a great job!

I am also using No Macarena. I believe we can put together our entire play list.  I’m excited about that.

LOL — yeah, Future Mother-In-Law Bruschetta’s not thrilled that we’re having a "no group dance" reception.

we used no macarena and i couldn’t have been happier! the owner was such a doll and a pleasure to work with and totally got our musical tastes right off the bat. plus she didn’t make fun of our high school shuffle 🙂

I’m sorry to hijack this post, but, um, Mrs. Candy Corn — high school shuffle?  Is that an actual dance you did at your wedding?  Details please 🙂

DJs Available was highly recommended to me by a number of recent Philly brides. They are affordable, too.
