Hmm…outside with lots of flowers, maybe Rittenhouse Square? I think you may have to check with the City about getting permits for public places like that. I was just in a wedding where we went down by the river to get photos in Fairmount Park, but the bride had to get certain permits for the photos to be done.

As for inside, the Bellevue has a beautiful staircase that you might be able to have photos in. Again, you might need permission from the hotel to use their facility for photos.

Hello! Yes, I am wondering this as well as we are getting married in June in Philadelphia. We definitely want to do the broad street shot, even if it’s pouring and Logan Circle. Part of Water Works is under a roof and there are some sidestreets your photographer might be aware of where you won’t get drenched, but still be outside. Check with your venue – I know the 4 seasons has an area in the lobby they let brides shoot with a lot of foliage, etc. I doubt any museums will let you shoot if you aren’t actually getting married there which stinks..

We took our photos at the Ritz (they also don’t let you take photos there unless you’re getting married there), in front of the City Hall, and at the Love Park. I’ve seen people take photos at the Museum or Art.

Here’s a list of gardens and parks in Philly along with photos of them. http://www.gophila.com/G/Public_Art,_Parks_and_Gardens/3.html

you can find some beautiful gardens behind the Art Museum just before the boathouses on Kelly Drive.  There is parking right there too.  You will also be able to have a great view of the Schuylkill River in that same area!

Otherwise there aren’t a lot of flowers along Kelly Drive.

as far as indoor locations go…. I really like how the main building at Drexel looks It’s all marble has a great stair case and some really nice stautues. There is also Reading terminal market that could be really cool with all the people bustliong and blurring around you. Liberty 2 has a nice rotunda with great natural light and there is a fountain in the lobby. You would probably need special permission at any of the museums in the area, but it might be worth calling about.

The link below has photos of a wedding where the formals were shot in the courtyard of city hall.  And the rest of the formals were shot at the art museum and across the street from the art museum.  EXCELLENT locations for wedding photos.  And it was drizzling a bit when these were shot.
