Dead. Thank you for your service! BTD continues to impress me less and Less. (Pun intended.) I know these vendors don’t cut the stones themselves, I get that, but the markup….geez! And at least use a different photo! 🤦🏻‍♀️

It might interest you to know that Less stated this last night on his board in conjunction with the photo: “Hi all, We’re expanding the production of our Phoenix Moissanite fancy cuts since Amora fancy cut production is no more.” They’re expanding overseas!

I wonder if MoissaniteCo is the same? Since they do have their own line of moissanite. Hmm makes me wonder

Interesting!  What exactly is Phoenix Moissanite?  Is it just a different cut?

cicix3 :  Guarantee there’s some Chinese company out there selling the MoCo AGS 000 for a fraction of the cost.

dracarys :  Same! Or three…lol. I bet if we put our thinking caps on, we could figure it out. MoCo, BTD, August Vintage, all of them don’t have the capabilities of cutting themselves. Someone has to be doing it for them. Someone over on PS had a delay with AV because of shipping or something and I believe they mentioned “overseas” or “international” so that leads me to believe they aren’t sourcing them anywhere in the US. Maybe they have a patent on a proprietary cut that places like Tianyu and StarsGem can’t offer to the general public for this exact reason. I know folks that have gotten Amora, AV, MoCo, Tianyu, SG etc and compared them side by side and the NA companies were superior 🤷🏻‍♀️ So who the heck knows. lol.

My loose stones from SG should be shipping any day now so I’m excited to see how I like them! If they’re too warm (I ordered thick arrows and IJ) or I don’t love the cut, they’ll be listed on DB or LT ASAP. 😂

dracarys :  it’s such a slippery slope! I’ve been looking for nearly 3 years and just did order the loose stones. I think the hunt is so much fun maybe I just don’t want it to end! Plus I’m broke…so there’s that 😂

I recognized the hand as soon as I saw the picture!  They are so lazy that they couldn’t even be bothered to take their own photograph’s?  We are all to smart to pay the mark up.  If he wants to charge more, he should be smart enough to take pictures that aren’t just stills off of IG.

That company drives me crazy….!
