I wanted some of your advice should i get engagement pictures done at the beach or Balboa Park I am very torn. I like the beach and we have been planning it for sunset but the weather has been horrible so i’m thinking Balboa Park instead if this weekend doesn’t hold up.
What are the pro’s and con’s for all you san diego natives?

I would say that Balboa Park is a better choice because then you will have some more varied background rather then sand and see.

I took mine at the beach, but I voted for Balboa Park because you can get more interesting shots. I’ve seen some at Del Mar Beach by the train station which kinda mixes two different poses. I did mine south of the Cove and also took a few by the Museum of Art in La Jolla.

I’ve only been to San Diego for a holiday to stay with a friend of the family and I visited Balboa park and I thought it was gorgeous. I think if I lived there i’d have photos there or even my wedding reception. You lucky lady!

Check out this photographer’s site for some ideas. He does both the beach and he did Balboa Park for my BFF’s engagement shoot.
I loved her photos, some great Bridal Party shots!
But the beach just next to the Hotel del Coronado has pretty good views too.
I voted for the beach (I LOVE beach shots) but you really can’t go wrong with either one. You could take some adorable photos with an umbrella at Bridal Party if it’s drizzly this weekend.
