I know this has been asked before, but I can’t remember the keyword to do a search on it, so I’m making another post. We already bought the wedding album and 2 parent albums for our parents from the photographer because we want the best quality possible. I’m thinking about giving my aunt an album as well, however I do not want to order it from the photographer because it’s expensive. I want to use those online service instead.
Questions for those that went through the online route:
Which service did you use?
What are the pros and cons?
How’s the paper and printing quality?
What’s the price?
Any other advice you can give that I can’t think of?

I order all of my photos though Mpix. they have great quality (many photog’s use them for printing), they are affordable (you can probably pay anywhere from $20-$50 for a smaller album), they ship amazingly quickly, and there customer service is great!

i used adoramapix to make parent albums thought they were great. and they have great customer service, so on the off chance something is wrong with your order, they will fix it. as for prices of an album, it depends how big you want and how many pages. for example, i did a 50 page album, size 10×10. i believe it was around $100. i am now working on a 8×8 album of 26 pages – its $40.
always look for coupons too. i got my parent albums at 30% off, and before that there was a 40% off coupon code going around. so my 50 page album might have been more than $100, it might have been that price due to the discount i got, i can’t remember anymore.

I’d recommend adoramapix too – I used them for our guest book and will probably use them for parents albums. The pros are that they print on real photo paper, the pages are thick (won’t bend easily), the binding is lay-flat with practically no gutter, the software is pretty easy to use and I think gives you a lot of editing options, the covers are gorgeous – I used a black & white photo on the cover at about 50% opacity and it almost looks metallic silver. It is stunning.
I’d agree with the coupon thing – go ahead and design the book and wait for a coupon to order it!

I have to agree with @dynamic_duo:
. I used AdoramaPix for my combo Rehearsal Dinner/Wedding/ Honeymoon album and love it. I would however be cafeful if you have anything dark on the cover. The edges have gotten a little banged up and the dark color is flaking off the coners and edges. So go with a light color cover (so the white won’t be as noticable) or buy a protective cover or don’t do stupid things like shove it into an overstuffed suitcase lol

I made my album and both parents’ albums with Photobook America. We got 56 page, premium photo paper, leather-bound albums for $35 with a Groupon (it’s offered really frequently). Overall it was a very good experience. The design software was very easy to use and it gave a lot of different customization options unlike some of the other photobook software. The quality was very good and it was printed on quality photo paper. Also I got standard shipping and it arrived very fast. The only con is that it’s not a traditional lay-flat album.

Do a search on AdoramaPix. A few bees have done reviews of their final product.
