I’ve spent the last 45-mins trying to find the site that sells the photobook templates I like. I posted it on my Facebook last year and can’t seem to find it! My laptop broke and my husband’s computer is so ancient, I’m going grey just waiting for the page to load. Please help!
- Where do you buy your photobooks?
- Are the pages thick?
Thank you so much!!!

I really like blurb if you order the thicker paper. We did a few wedding albums and the normal paper ones look like crap after a few years (finger prints, bent pages, etc..)

Photobook America with the thick paper was AMAZING!! I’ve done them, Blurb, and Adorama, and was by far the most impressed with Photobook America. The paper was MUCH thicker with Photobook America, and their cover options are unbeatable. I thought the Adorama albums everyone raves about felt like a children’s board book (wasn’t that impressed. Plus they dribbled glue across one of the spreads).

I ordered ours from PhotoBook America too – I got Groupons for $115 albums for $35 + shipping, so check around!

Miss Meerkat did the most amazing blog about a photobook review and then another post about which one she chose.

@mwitter80: Wow! Thanks for the link!

@crayfish: It’s the first time I’ve heard of PhotoBook America and just by browsing their site, I’m really loving their cover options! I haven’t seen either one in person – only seen pictures and videos (that mwitter80 linked). I’m a little curious about the page thickness, you mentioned it’s thicker with PhotoBook America but the Adorama one is like a children’s board book … aren’t those really thick? I’m a little confused. But aside from the pages being thicker, is the image quality good as well? Thanks so much!
@7SEVENJ9: Wow, I’m going to look into those deals! Do the pages lie flat like the ones in Adorama? I’m thinking about buying multiple book projects and would really like a clean 2-page spread.

I”m not sure about the pages, I just ordered them last week and have not yet received the finished products!

I used the Groupon for Photobook Canada and had our guestbook printed with them. The quality was fantastic, I love it!
Here’s a great comparison that’s been linked a million times over on WB, we all love it 🙂

I really like mixbook.com and mypublisher.com Both have really easy templates and the books turned out great. We used mypublisher.com for our engagement album and mixbook.com for our guestbook. They are great quality but not the cardboard type pages that you can get from your photographer. They feel more like a really great coffee table book and are under $100. Retailmenot.com usually offers some great coupons as well, which will bring it closer to $60 for a fantastic album that will look like a pro did it.
