Hello Hive! So I am having my wedding in a fabulous 1920’s log cabin and we have decided to have a vintage feeling/themed wedding! I have found some amazing antique store finds for some of our items, I plan on using a lot of mercury glass, and my dress even goes with the feel of the wedding.
However, recently I came across a LivingSocial deal for a photo booth and I was immediately in love with the idea. Normally I would never be able to afford one, but this deal is extremely affordable! The only thing holding me back is that the big black photo booth doesn’t go with my vintage items and theme. Do you ladies think that it will be ok to get it and not worry about everything else? Or should I stick with my theme and not get it?
Thanks so much for your help!!

Which would your guests prefer? A totally “in theme” wedding, or a themed wedding with an awesome photo booth? You are a hostess, not a set designer.
That being said, why don’t you buy some 20s-style props for the booth? Bowlers, boas, handlebar moustaches, oversized martini glasses, strands of pearls, etc.?

Def do vintage props! What a great idea!

I am also having a vintagey/victorian wedding and we’re getting a photobooth! The pictures are our guest’s favors. We don’t have crazy props — We only ordered vintage props from Etsy and they’re adorable!

Photobooths are so much fun. Your guests will love it and you are probably the only one that will notice it being “out of theme”.

rent some pipe and drape (or curtains) and section it off so it looks like a lounge area. then you wont see the big black box

Thanks so much ladies! Having a photo booth would be so much for my guests, so I just need to stop worrying about the theme! You all had so many great ideas!

Hey crjk2013… we’re doing a vintage-themed wedding, too! There will be a photobooth, and we found these sweet little holders that we’re using as favors:
Photobooths have such a nostalgic feeling in general, that just the idea kind of works with the vintage theme. But I do think avonleaR’s drape idea would look really nice (and I might just have to do what she suggests!).

I would do it, seems to fit right in with your theme, plus who doesn’t love a photobooth!!
I wanted one badly but it wasn’t in the budget after we decided to do a bigger honeymoon so I will have to live vicariously through all of you.

Well bad news Bees. The deal for the photo booth sold out shortly after I wrote my first post! But I am going to continue to look for another one! Thanks so much for your help everyone!!
