I think if you are going to have a photo both guests should be able to get a photo. For me, that’s a big part of the fun.

I do think 2 are overkill. I’d stick with just one professional.

By the way, I didn’t vote because all your options were either DIY or have 2 booths. I don’t recommend either.

if i went to a wedding with a photobooth i would expect to get a photo, like you said yourself, you loved getting the photo and keeping it – they would to, most people willl get in and want photos for themselfs,”oh look two print out, i guess thats for the bride/groom, lest sign the book”they would feel its more for then not the bride/groom its more to keep them entertained during the evening ….ide go the standard photobooth, not the DIY

    – one company im taking with gives  you a fash drive of all the photos at the end of the event, you should ask if the one your looking at does, if they do maybe just do the background change/whatnot yourself to your own photos and let your guests have fun with the regular photobooth…

i’m biased b/c this is what i’m doing but i suggest doing the DIY, and then you print out the best pictures later and include them in the invites 🙂 that way, it’s even more of a surprise when they receive it because they probably forgot! 🙂

Do you have a printer? I’m using the Sparkbooth software, which takes pics using your computer’s webcam and then connects to your printer and prints photos for your guests. I’m running it off my laptop at the wedding. Only cost $59 for the software. Cheaper than a pro photobooth, guests get pics right when they take them, and I still get to make a DIY backdrop which I’m super-excited about, haha.

My photographer is doing our “photobooth” (she uses a back drop and uplighting with props and takes the photos herself….)

We will have a list that people can put their emails on so we can email them pictures they are in…..then they can print them off if they want….
