I heard from my photographer a couple days ago, and all the pics she took on film (3 rolls, about 100 pics), when they went to devlop them, turned out to be BLANK! :'(
The only good thing is, she took quite a few digital, and I have all of those, and she said mostly what she did was shoot a photo digital then followed by film, so many would be duplicates anyway. But yes, we are just sick about it.
You can’t go back in time but in looking through what we do have I noticed there aren’t any of the “typical” full length bridal portrait style; i.e. bride alone, basically showcasing the dress. There are some nice ones with us together and some of me sitting…
I am wondering if, before I sell the dress, I should visit her and do some of me in the dress and some of us together as a couple in our wedding attire, just to have some “extra”. No they won’t be wedding day pics but in 15 years I might still be happy to have the extra. Thoughts?

OH NO! That would be my worst nightmare 🙁 So sorry this happened to you.
I would say yes to the photo shoot. Lots of couples do a “day after” which happens even a week or two after the wedding. You’ll be relaxed and happy to have those pictures where the dress is on display in it’s full glory.
And I hope your photog would give you a price/time break because of the disaster…

@MsInterpret: I am missing those types of photos too (but because our photog just didn’t take any!). Also considering a photo session in the dress…

@MsInterpret:You should absolutely set up a session, I’m sure she’d even be happy to do it for free since it was kind of her bad. Listen the THIS though, my cousin hired a friend whos a photog to do her wedding, he was supposed to save the pictures for her for up to a year or something like that and when she went to order about 6 months later, he didn’t have them anymore so she has NO professional wedding photos!!

Do the photo session. For sure. I hope you are recompensated a bit. Also, I think the new photo session should be free of charge. After all, it wasn’t your mistake.
