I had originally wanted a brooch bouquet because I love almost anything vintage and I thought that it would be really beautiful. My gorgeous mum went about buying vintage brooches from eBay and at markets, she spent an absolute fortune on this thing and it was gorgeous. But it was super heavy. At this point I also realised that I would feel like I was “missing out” in a way if I didn’t have any fresh flowers (I know, how annoying for my poor mum!) so we decided to have the best of both worlds. Break the brooch bouquet into smaller groups of about 5-8 brooches and find a florist who could incorporate them into fresh flower bouquets. Our answer was Jessica, she is an amazing florist who was so excited to do something different and was definitely up for the challenge. We were beyond happy with the result!
My bouquet was a bit larger than my 5 bridesmaid’s bouquets, and incorporated 5 groups of brooches while theirs had three groups in each.
My mum’s so sweet, she even arranged some of the brooches to spell out the letters “J” and “A” for our initials, told you she was awesome!!
The same florist also did our centrepieces etc. and she did such a great job!
Each of the girls bouquets had a vintage 1950’s brooch on wrapped around the ribbon that was theres to keep as part of their present, and since the wedding my mum has collected all of the other broochs and combined them into one amazing brooch bouquet for me to keep forever 🙂
its so sparkly!
