I set up a Shutterfly Share account so I’ll probably use that unless I find something better. I plan on having some cards printed up (probably using Vistaprint since I’m already ordering invites from them) with the web address and password.

The only downside I can see to Shutterfly is people need to register with them in order to upload. I’m not sure if all photo sharing sites do that or not.

I am a software developer, and I made my own site for guests to upload their pictures onto my website. I got completely finished, it was working perfectly. Then I tried to upload a large picture, and found out that the company that hosts my website put a limit on upload sizes from the web…

Instead of having guests upload their photos we are going to have a basket of usb flash drives and prepaid envolopes with a sign.

My friend did disposable cameras, and she said it ended up being a waste of money–she developed them and hardly anyone took any pictures!  That might be something to keep in mind.

I set Mr. Lox on researching this and he found a site I’d never heard of but that will allow guests to upload via email, text, or anonymous upload (no account needed). Or they can set up an account if they really want.

It’s http://yogile.com As of now, I think that’s what we’re going to go with.

@peggyh1023: I know. We’re going to pay to get more storage.

We aren’t getting married until September, but we set up a shutterfly wedding photo share page as well. It was super easy, free, and people can print the pictures anywhere (through shutterfly or just download them to their computer and print them at WalMart for instance).

We ordered business cards to send with each guest (ordered them when VistaPrint had a huge sale so they were free).

@peggyh1023:

Our cards will say something like: If you took digital photos today, we’d love to see them! Upload your images at: ournames.shutterfly.com password: ourpassword

We were going to encourage guests to use their digital cameras and then have a computer or two on the way out so they can upload pictures directly to us.  My cousins will be tasked with keeping an eye on the station, and there will be enough tech-savvy people around to help anyone who needs it.  If it works out, it’ll be great because we won’t have to worry about waiting for people to upload.

So many people are on facebook! Create a facebook page for your wedding day and have them upload the pics on their own facebook, but tag your page.
