I’m a photo lover and I desperately want to include photo’s from my guest’s perspective in our wedding albums. Has anyone used (or is going to use) a photo sharing site to collect images? I would love for my guests t go to a central location to upload their pictures easily. However, I do not want to use Facebook (long story to why). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Bumping because I’ve been thinking of doing this, too. I’d love to find a site that makes it really easy for people to login with a simple name and password that we provide and upload their images. I’ve heard you can do this with sites like Flickr and Snapfish, but I’m unsure how. Am I supposed to give out my own account login info??

Check out Storymix Media’s sharing service. Unlimited photo and video uploads, no passwords for guests, free downloads from a private online gallery and you can even have a DVD slideshow made from your favorite photos.

I use phanfare.com to share my family photos. They have a feature where you can allow people to upload images to your events. They aren’t free though. I think they cost $100 per year, but In My Humble Opinion, they’re worth it. I’m a pro photographer and while I use other services for my business, phanfare is the best I’ve seen for sharing pics with family. They also have the best iPad app I’ve seen for photo sharing. Hope that helps.

Picasa through google is what I use. You can download the full quality images from the site, simply create an email and password just for the pictures.

- Wedding: June 2010 - New York Botanical Garden
I used Snapfish. I made a new gmail account like [email protected]. Then I made a new Snapfish account with the login as [email protected] and the password june2010. I gave out the information on our programs and we actually did get a fair number of people uploading!
