Can anyone suggest a good photo-sharing site?
Our photographer told all our guests that they’d have access to our photos through his website so they’re all expecting to see an online album. However, our photographer’s website is very slow and doesn’t load well (and that’s on hubby and I’s super fast high speed internet). It isn’t easy to navigate either and is just a mess. All the photos are out of order and there are many that we don’t want to be on display for everyone (we’re drinking or it’s just an unflattering picture). The photographer’s website is password protected and we haven’t given anyone the password. This is causing some angst in the family but I’m sticking to my guns.
I want to post 100 or so photos, beautiful pictures that capture the special moments in the day. I don’t want every single picture (the photographer took over 1400 photos) out there for all to see, especially when most of my family members have professional careers to think of (it was a party, of course we all had a good time) so I have that to think of as well.
I am looking for an easy to use website that offers the ability to password protect your album. I looked at flickr but that requires me to invite people, accept them as friends, etc., and feels alot like Facebook. I don’t want to post them on Facebook because my Facebook is very private and I only have my absolute closest friends on there. The last thing I want to do is ‘friend’ every wedding guest.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Ideally, I’d put up the photos, pass out a URL, and when guests visited, they’d be prompted to put in a password and then would be able to see all the photos.
