I used Dropbox. You can put all of your images into dropbox into the photo folder (up to 2G for free I think) and then when you navigate to the files from dropbox.com website you can right click on the folder and choose “gallery” and it will make a nice, fast gallery of whatever pictures are in the folder. You can send out the URL of that page and your friends and family can check it out.  It’s not password protected but it’s also not searchable and it’s not community based so no one would ever accidentally come across your photos. If you PM me I can send you the address to my gallery and you can see what it looks like.

Good luck!

My favorite for many years has been photobucket. It’s easy to use, free, and has a lot of great features including password protection, and you can just send the link and password to people for them to view it, they don’t have to have an account themselves.

fototime.com works the best for me.  You can do everything you mentioned.  Make sure you have sufficient rights to your pictures though to do this….typically you only have printing rights.

An FB alternative to ‘friending’ every guest is to make a private album and then send out the link to the album (link is available on the bottom) – whoever has the link can see. Of course, then you run into people who may want to ‘friend’ you once they see you have an account anyway.
