Wine (white, not red. red stains your teeth, which is bad for pictures.). Beer works too. And vodka if you’re really nervous. I sound like I have a drinking problem, don’t I? LOL

Seriously, we are having family photos taken next weekend, and I am planning to have Mr. Lk drink a Nocturnum or two beforehand.

@oracle:  Our shoot is at our house, so I can get him as tipsy as I want him. haha

Maybe just start the shoot by being silly. Make funny faces at the camera, contort yourself in crazy poses, do an activity that is familiar to you (card games, leaf fight… whatever floats your boat). Be natural and try to tune out the camera as much as possible.

I never ever recommend alcohol when it comes to relaxing for photos.  It really does not take too much for someone to go from one drink to relax to really looking like they’ve had a few.  If you’re nervous about being in front of the camera just do it for awhile.  The first 30 minutes of any focused portrait session are bound to be a little awkward, but you will relax.

I am planning on doing some cardio before I take a shower and get myself beautiful.  I am hoping this will get out some jitters.

Maybe also you and your fiance could use a camera or camera phone and play photographer/ subject.  Then you can laugh, have a conversation and get used to being natural in front of the camera with him before the real day.

Also practicing cute poses with fiance is fun!
