Thank you cards for what?

If they’re for wedding gifts, wouldn’t you take pictures on your wedding day?  Often photographers will rush jsut that photo to you so you can get your thank yous out in time.

Regardless, I think a lot of people just hold up blank white paper, and have the “Thank you” photoshopped on top.

I’ve also seen when they do it onto a parasol, but you might not be able to find one in time?

If you’re intending to use them for your shower, then it absolutely makes sense to use engagement photos.  That’s why I asked what they were for first.

People “usually” save up the special photo cards for wedding gifts though, because it’s nice for everybody to get to see a picture.  It’s completely up to you.  I just used generic cards non-photo cards for our shower.

Actually, my shower hostess provided them, and had all the shower guests address their own envelopes to be put in a draw for prizes, which was kind of awesome that they were done for me.

We had a movie theme engagement party and so our invites were a film strip with us holding up “we’re engaged” and our thank you’s for the engagement party were a thank you sign to tie it all together.

Here are photos of both. The first is the thank you we just made it ourselves by printing it out and sticking onto black card paper and writing the message on the back.

The engagement invite was a series of photos put in order, again with all the information on the back.  We did them both in black and white.  Hope this helps! 🙂

Forgot to say, we actually just used regular A4 white paper for the ‘we’re” and “engaged” for the thank you we used regular A3 white paper.  We just wrote it on with a black vivid, took the photos on our Mac and then turned them around so the words weren’t backwards.  A cheap one night DIY at home, using things we had around the house but I think it looks fine!

For our wedding thank you’s we will use a photo from the wedding but no words this time, probably just one of us together, hopefully we get a few nice ones to choose from!

We will get the wedding ones professionally done.
