What are the best sites for setting up group photo uploads? I always just upload my pics on Walgreens because it is easy for everyone to print from but thinking I should go with a well know photo sharing site for the wedding. Who are you using?
The other question that I have is how are you displaying your photo sharing cards? I am going to put a card in each Out of Town bag but want to have them out at the wedding also.

So normally I dont like bursting bubbles but I want to tell you that if you havent made your photo upload cards yet…dont. They really arent worth it. Not a single person uploaded pictures from our wedding. Several people posted on facebook but the cards were meant for those who dont have facebook. I emailed everyone after our wedding to remind them of our site….nothing. I had 1 guest email me her pictures which were only a few. My SIL and BIL who are VERY tech savvy and took a lot of pictures never uploaded anything and told me they will get the pictures to me on a disk. Several of our friends took pictures (I can see them in pro photos with cameras in their hands!) and never even shared them with us at all. And lastly we had one guy who took a shit ton of pictures who I messaged on facebook and he said he will bring them to me at Thanksgiving…….
I was REALLY disappointed but at least I’ll be getting the pictures one way or another. Just thought the cards and my setting up a photo sharing site were a total waste!

@PitBulLover: Thanks for the suggestion. His brother did one for his wedding and ended up with a ton of pics but I think most people that uploaded happened to be his family. I have already been asking people in our Bridal party for pics and don’t end up with anything so I after you told me this it made me realize I doubt they will upload.
I have a feeling though that FH will still think we need to do this though

I just went to a wedding and they got thousands of amazing photos, so just because your wedding didn’t doesnt mean its a universal fail.
They set up a flikr account specifically for the photos, and included the username and password on the card. They also used Moo cards (with an engagement photo on the back), which I thought was cute.
It’s what I’m doing!

People at our wedding were constantly getting in the way of our photographer for the shot, and I’ve yet to see any of the photos. I put a reminder in the thank you cards, but nothin.

We’re planning to do a fauxtobooth, but they will have to go to the photosharing site to get their pics. We are hoping this will encourage them to visit and upload their pics 😀 We are also going to print off photo scavenger hunts for them to try and complete, I came across a really cute one on the boards somewhere…try searching for it.
So, that will mean the site will be listed on the bottom of the scavenger hunt (which I think we will put by the guest table) on business cards at the photobooth and maybe another set of business cards somewhere else. I think we’ll have the DJ announce about the scavenger hunt and photosharing site so that everyone knows to pic up a scavenger hunt or card.
Who knows, maybe it’ll be a waste…but I gotta try 😉
