Another hive member asked me to post a few photos from our engagement photo/guestbook (12″x12″) we ordered from Photobook Canada. Overall, I’m really happy with the book. I think it’s really well made, the quality is terrific. There is ONE photo I think lokos a bit pixel-y, but out of 40 pages I’m okay with that. The colour tone of the photos are slightly more red than the files looked on my screen, but again, it’s not life changing and really, I’m the only one who’s going to notice. I love the wrap around image on the jacket. The software/book designer was relatively easy to use, although it could use a few more tools to help align photos (a mirror function would be awesome for creating the same custom layout on opposing pages). So here you go! Sorry for the quick photos, I didn’t have time to create a pretty photo shoot type setting so this will have to do 😉
Cover – The quality is PERFECT. The image wraps around onto the spine and back.
One of my favourite layouts. The guestbook photobook has linen pages so people can write on them.
This is the ONE photo I’m not happy with the quality of. It’s a bit fuzzy/pixel-y. I haven’t complained, I don’t really know if it’s worth it. If it were my wedding album I definitely would.
Like I said, overall, I’m really happy with it. I got this book for $35 through Groupon, it has a $115 value. I saved on the shipping by picking it up at their office about half an hour away from me. We bought a bunch of Groupons so we can make albums for our families after the wedding 🙂
I also have a book from a vacation that I made through Shutterfly and I have to say the quality of this one is FAR superior.
I give this 4 cupcakes out of 5 😉 I take a half a cupcake away for their software not being QUITE so versatile, and a half a cupcake for that fuzzy photo.
