Dip your chin down slightly when you’re taking pics.  Gets rid of double chin.  Also tell your photog how you wish to look.  Notice how alot of celebs on the red carpet stand.  They cross legs with one leg placed a bit more forward than the other to make legs appear more shapely.  Learned this about 20 years back when competing in Miss America stuff.

I agree with a lot of bellenga’s tips.  Also, I really think a lot has to do with the photographer’s talent.  I really hate having pictures taken but he was able to know which angles would work best so that we both looked good!

Random tip…try to stand with your arms away from your body (like with your hands on your hips) this makes your arms appear more slender.

Don’t actually just tip your chin down this can actually make a double chin worse!!!  Instead {and yes it feels awkward} stick your chin out away from your body and slightly down like you are looking over your sun or reading glasses {not to much though}, keep your arms slightly away from your body {this is why brides look so good holding their bouquet} and last bending at the waist so your face is closer to the camera then the rest of your body.  Practice these in the mirror before your session.  Also, I would mention to your photographer what parts of your body you are self conscience about so they can pose you in a way that will hide those spots.

I know you’ve already chosen a photog, but for those who are reading this if you feel you are awkward in photos then choose a photog who is good at giving direction to a variety of different people.

That’s what I was just thinking-if you dip your chin, you’ll increase the likelihood of a double chin! I will definately not be dipping my chin down! 🙂
