I have a coworker who used a very similar picture from her wedding for her thank you cards.  I thought they looked super cute!  I also think your picture is very sweet  =o)

It definitely isn’t the type of image I would choose for a thank you card.  I would (and did) pick something where you are facing the camera.

But there isn’t anything inherantly “wrong” with it.  It is a beautiful and sweet picture.

GORGEOUS Picture !!

Would I use it for a Thank You Card ???

Hard to say… honestly this is one of those cases, where only you know what poses were taken… and only the Photographer knows how they turned out.

Are there an assortment of poses … things that are Romantic (like this one)… Happy – Funny – Playful – Artistic – etc

Did you have a “feeling” in mind that you wanted the Thank You card to convey ??

All the same, this is a great photo… and certainly one I might want to frame in my home.

Hope this helps (somewhat)

@weddingbound:  awwwe I think its sweet.

I think I would probably use it…but it doesn’t hurt to ask & be more specific.

I mean I’ve been waiting for my photos for 6 weeks and my requests for a sneak peek/thank you card photo have gone unfulfilled BUT my photog was magically about 6.5 months pregnant on my wedding day so I’ve been trying to cut them some slack… that’s why I haven’t sent a 2nd email. lol

I don’t think I’d use it for a thank you. Don’t get me wrong — it’s a GORGEOUS photo and captures the moment between you two SO well. But I think that’s just it — it feels a little intimate to be on a thank-you card.

If you end up having to wait, would something like this be an option for your cards?

I used these. They’re a really heavy, realy nice stock card, where you slide an actual photo into the frame on front. If you had to wait a bit long to get your photos, you could get cards like these and start writing the messages to your guests now and then just slide the photos in once you have them!

@weddingbound:  lol i know right? I’m really trying to be patient but if she was 6.5 months preggers on our wedding day and that was 6 weeks ago…. I’m afraid we like WON’T get our photos until the new year?!

Eep, I’m gonna call them today… this is actually freaking me out now. lol

@weddingbound:  So here’s the thing – I think it’s a beautiful photo.  However, it doesn’t matter if I would use or anyone else – if you don’t want it for your thank you cards, you are well within your rights to ask for one that is more how you wanted it.  I don’t think it makes you “bridezilla,” I personally think you’re entitled to the service that you want! You could have been more specific, or he could have asked questions to make sure he was sending the photo that you wanted. In any case, I think you can call and ask for the photo that you want, and I think the one he sent is stunning!

@weddingbound:  lol I’m scared tho! I don’t want to be THAT bridezilla either! haha Welp, its worth a voicemail at least because I have their final payment that is supposed to be exchanged when they give us the photos so I guess I could at least call with request for explanation and a projected date?  EEEEEEK!

And thank you! You’re soo sweet!
