… until today I found her & her now husband on Facebook!
If you want the background, start here, if not you can just read the last paragraph as this is more of a confused vent :).
Tiny bit of background on this situation. I got married almost 3 years ago. A sort-of-friend(?) I met on craigslist from posting my room for rent (we met once & emailed often about life, wedding details, like friends who met 2 months before my wedding), she offered to help me on my wedding day. I said okay thank you yay! & I offered to help with hers… but she got married the week after mine & I was away on my honeymoon. I felt bad I wouldn’t help her but I gave her advice as I knew the area she was getting married in (she was moving from out of state). My Father-In-Law found her a new pastor a week before her wedding – hers had an emergency come up. My Father-In-Law told me that they did get married.
On the wedding day: She came with her fiance early to help, around when I got there & someone asked her if she was my friend & she said she wasn’t my friend & that’s all she said. I was slightly shocked & confused but brushed it off & thanked her for coming. She helped set things up & her fiance took photos of the guys getting ready & before-the-wedding pictures. During the ceremony he videotaped our wedding. After the family/bridal party/bride&groom portraits, they apologized that they had to leave early as she had a flower appointment. I thanked them numberous times at my wedding for helping & that they didn’t have to apologize. About a month later she said she was happy to help & that she had a few pics up on her Facebook. I couldn’t find her Facebook & I never heard from her again. She didn’t respond to my emails, texts, calls… nothing. I tried a few times but then dropped it. I tried emailing around 1.5 years ago & also calling/texting but they wouldn’t go through.
Okay so I JUST found them on Facebook today, almost 3 years later… they were very hard to find – I feel like a sort of stalker lol. I had to pay $1 to email them though Facebook (hate that feature!) & I hope they respond. Their profiles were set to private so I can’t tell if they even use FB. I’m not mad (I did have 2 photographers cover everything – except the guys getting ready, which is what this person has & they totally did not have to do anything in the first place). I am a little dissapointed because I know they videotaped it but I don’t have any video. We were just going to set it on a tripod in the back so we’d have that. Guess I’m just venting a little, I’m hoping they still have the video, but most likely they don’t, its been 3 years & it looks like they moved states. I *thought* about contacting their relatives on FB if they don’t respond within a month, but I won’t do that… I’d feel like too much of a creeper lol!
