@kayberry:  I missed the filter part. Just tell them you don’t like it. Its not something they’d do with a lense I don’t think at least.

@kayberry:  I think they are fine. Their use of light seems good and based on their blog I like their composition. If you don’t like some of the post-processing they do, just let them know.  But what’s most important is that you like their work.

FYI~you may not get many of the pro photographers on this site to comment on your post. Some of them shy away from critiquing other photogs work.

I’m not a wedding photographer, but a photographer.  I know most photographer bee’s will more recently shy away from answering photography related questions as we’ve been getting really bad rep from girls who haven’t liked our advice.

But with that said…haha.  I think this photographer is a good choice if you like their style.  I do see a trend in a lot of their posing, but if you’re going for more of the “posed” look then that’s perfect.  I also don’t agree with a couple of their cropping choices as well as angles.  But, it’s not MY style, it’s THEIRS.  And again, if you like it…it doesn’t matter what I think.

I also agree about the filter that they’ve used to make it look like there is something on the lens.  That’s not done in-camera, so you can request that they not process any of the pictures like that.

Other than that, I think they’re a very good choice.

I like most of the photos.  There are more posed shots than spontaneous than I would personally prefer, but that’s just what they choose to show on their website.  If you do decide to meet with them, ask if you can see all the pictures from a complete wedding shoot so that you can really see the full range of shots that they’re likely to get.  And like someone else said, just mention specifically the filter you don’t like, and ask them not to use it.  I think they’re a pretty good choice!

They have a good breadth of photos and get a good 30+ excellent shots per wedding

@kayberry:   You should ask for more reception shots.
